About Us – Turkmen Women Self-Reliance Carpet Workshop

Turkmen Women Self-Reliance Carpet Workshop was established with the mission of empowering women and preserving the rich, traditional art of Turkmen carpet weaving in Herat. As a production and training center, our workshop provides a supportive environment where skilled Turkmen women can develop their talents, achieve economic independence, and keep the heritage of their ancestors alive.

For us, each carpet is more than just a product—it is a story woven with culture, identity, and beauty. All our carpets are handwoven, crafted using authentic patterns, warm natural colors, and traditional motifs that reflect centuries of Turkmen craftsmanship. The quality, durability, and elegance of our products are the result of the dedication and artistry of women who place every knot with care and passion.

Our Mission

At Turkmen Women Self-Reliance, we believe that empowering women means strengthening the community. Through our workshop, we provide professional training, skill development, and income opportunities for women striving to build a better future using their own abilities.

We take pride in creating honest, transparent, and high-quality products. The photos and videos of our workshop and processes reflect our commitment to authenticity and excellence at every stage of production.

Turkmen Women Self-Reliance Carpet Workshop serves as a bridge between traditional craftsmanship and modern markets—where cultural identity, heritage, and contemporary needs come together to create products with meaning, beauty, and value.
